Fire Alarm CAD Application Designer

We are seeking an experienced and motivated CAD Application Designer to join our growing team in our Orlando, FL office. You will work as part of the Engineering group to produce accurate shop drawings and collateral material for use by our customers and field staff to install and commission the fire alarm and other systems we represent.
The CAD Application Designer is responsible for the following:
Working with the Engineering Department supervisors to plan and develop shop drawing floorplans, riser diagram and control equipment diagrams responsive to the job scope of work.
Ensure accuracy by understanding project requirements and contract documents.
Utilizing AutoCAD automation to streamline and speed output.
Record labor hours per project in our accounting software.
Be available for overtime work when required.
Three (3) years experience working in AutoCAD.
Three (3) years experience working with fire alarm systems and other life-safety electronics. Ideally possessing experience as a Field Technician.
Have a basic understanding of electricity and electronics.
Fluent English verbal and written communications skills.
Experience with and knowledge of Siemens fire alarm equipment is a plus.
National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology (NICET) is a plus.
Ability to read contract drawings, specifications, equipment data/installation sheets and other contract documents.
Strong computer and organizational skills.

Employees are paid for 10 company holidays. This is an in-office position. Periodic project on-site visits, meetings, and surveys shall be required.
