Supervisor 1st Shift
Shift: 1st Shift
We are seeking a motivated and experienced 1st Shift Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. In this role, you will oversee associates, ensure productivity and safety standards are met, and drive operational excellence throughout the shift. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage people, performance, and processes while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead warehouse associates to meet daily productivity and performance goals
Monitor workflow, labor allocation, and operational metrics to ensure efficient shift execution
Enforce safety policies and operational procedures at all times
Coach, train, and develop associates, including onboarding new hires
Address performance issues, attendance, and employee concerns professionally and promptly
Identify and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and delays
Communicate effectively with management and support teams during shift handoffs
Ensure accuracy in inventory handling, shipping, receiving, and quality control processes
Required Skills and Qualifications
~2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment
~ Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate associates
~ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
~ Solid understanding of warehouse operations, productivity metrics, and safety practices
~ Ability to troubleshoot issues and make real-time operational decisions
~ Basic computer skills, including reporting and productivity tracking systems

Preferred Skills
Experience in a high-volume distribution or fulfillment center
Familiarity with WMS systems and labor management tools
Lean or continuous improvement experience
Proven experience training and coaching associates
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate's Degree or higher preferred
Physical and Other Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or adjust schedules based on business needs
Successful completion of background check and drug screening
