Telemetry RN Job Details
Location: Austin, TX 78704 (Texas nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting: Telemetry Unit (3 South, 34 private rooms)

Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Nursing Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state)

Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients in a 34-bed telemetry unit

Provide respiratory support, including advanced airway and oxygen management

Assist with procedures such as stress tests, heart catheterizations, CABG, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and chest tube management

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, PCTs, and unit clerks

Float as needed to Med Surg, Med Surg Telemetry, and ED holding areas

Document patient care using Meditech EMR
