We are in search of a dynamic and experienced Land Use & General Government Advice Attorney to join our esteemed team. This position is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their knowledge and expertise in the legal industry, specifically in the areas of land use, government advice, the Brown Act, the Political Reform Act, non-profit organizations, mediation, and legal writing. The successful candidate will be a part of a vibrant team and will play a crucial role in shaping the legal strategies and policies within our organization.
Provide comprehensive legal advice on land use and general government matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
Offer legal support to non-profit organizations, addressing their unique legal needs and challenges.
Draft, review, and revise a wide range of legal documents, contracts, and agreements, utilizing superior legal writing skills.
Collaborate with various departments within the organization, offering legal advice and guidance on a range of issues.
Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations that may affect the organization and its operations, advising accordingly.
Represent the organization in legal proceedings, defending its interests effectively and professionally.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
A minimum of 6 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on land use, general government advice, the Brown Act, the Political Reform Act, non-profit organizations, mediation, and legal writing.
Proven experience providing legal support to non-profit organizations.
Excellent legal writing skills, with the ability to draft, review, and revise a wide range of legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
Strong research skills, with the ability to stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations that may affect the organization.
