In this role, the Plant Engineer will optimize plant performance, manage capital projects, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Some examples of activities include:

  • Optimize plant performance, manage capital projects, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Predict remaining useful life, and budget for mechanical maintenance improvements.
  • Contract and supervise maintenance services, ensure proper maintenance of plant equipment, and administer safety programs.
  • Develop and maintain procedures, schedule and plan outages, and manage Long Term Service Agreement with Mitsubishi.
  • Support NERC compliance, develop apprenticeship programs, and take responsibility for plant operations in the absence of the Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Expertise: A degree in engineering with a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and civil/structural systems.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage capital projects, including construction supervision, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Safety and Compliance Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of environmental and safety regulations, as well as experience with NERC compliance.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Leadership and Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to solve complex problems, ensuring optimal plant performance and maintenance.
