Job DescriptionJob Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. An Elementary Resource Teacher position is available for the remainder of the school year at an elementary school in Detroit, MI. This contract role focuses on supporting students with special education needs by providing individualized instruction and resource support within the classroom setting.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure effective individualized education plans (IEPs)
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and compliance requirements
Experience in special education, particularly within elementary school settings
Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
Ability to create effective resource materials and individualized lesson plans
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with faculty and families
Patience, adaptability, and dedication to supporting students with special needs
Location: Detroit, MI (Elementary School)
