We are seeking experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners who have urgent care or emergency room experience, treating both adult and pediatric patients, to join our welcoming and diverse community of providers in the surrounding region part time or full time . Functioning in lieu of or alongside of a physician, it is essential for an urgent care Advanced Practitioner to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary. Job Requirements Education Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners Work Experience 1+ years of post-residency clinical experience required Minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting preferred Adult and pediatric practice experience strongly preferred Required Licenses/Certifications National Certification Active state medical licensure (MD/DE can be obtained) Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Work experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room setting Applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing, splinting, etc. Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills Strong communication and customer service skills Essential Functions Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job?s purpose and objectives.
