Overview

We are seeking a Variable Shift, PRN Ultrasound Vascular Technician to join our team at UT Health Jacksonville in Jacksonville, TX.

  • UT Health Jacksonville features 33 operational beds, an ICU, a 24-hour ED designated as a Level IV trauma center, a maternity unit, advanced diagnostic technology, surgical suites, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, and a UT Health East Texas Olympic Center fitness and rehabilitation facility.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform Echo & Vascular ultrasound diagnostic procedures for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, ensuring accurate and complete examinations by complying with established policies and procedures.
  • Organize and document all aspects of assigned patient care in coordination with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely performance of echo/vascular ultrasound procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, including adherence to ICAEL/ICAVL standards, by collecting and organizing data to ensure quality meets established standards.
  • Assume responsibility for professional growth and development by participating in educational activities to promote improvement and compliance with ICAEL/ICAVL standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by utilizing effective communication skills to maintain organizational objectives and mission.
  • Maintain and care for equipment within the department.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform all echo and vascular procedures according to ICAEL/ICAVL protocol certification and licensure.
  • CPR Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of related experience.
  • Completion of an accredited Echo/Vascular Ultrasound program.
  • Registry Certification in Echocardiography and Vascular Ultrasound.
