Gastroenterologist Opening in Northern Indiana seeking a Board Eligible/ Board Certified Gastroenterologist to meet the growing demand for gastroenterology in Indiana. Join a busy, established practice with 5 experienced physicians and multiple advanced practice providers. Ideal candidate will have ERCP experience, an interest in Hepatology and a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and build long-lasting relationships with patients. Physician will need to work collaboratively with existing medical staff to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT : Office Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. Physician Schedule: 3 - 4 half days in clinic, 3 - 4 half days in surgery, 1 full day off Physician Call 1:5 Physician takes 1 full week call (Friday 8:00 a.m. Friday 8:00 a.m.), no clinic during call week only hospital procedures and front-line call coverage Call Friday to Thursday, Rotating Holidays Average Patient Volumes: Half Day Clinic , Half Day Surgery 8 10 Practice shares 3 RN s, dedicated MA support for every physician, 2 surgery schedulers in-house Outreach Required: Clinics in LaPorte, Chesterton, Valparaiso (all within 30 minutes commute) Potential Virtual Visits Shared collaboration between physician for APP s in group Hospital based Nurse Practitioner sees new consults and rounding ahead of physicians Clinic based Nurse Practitioner Strong mentors
