Key responsibilities
include providing high-quality legal advice, managing legal costs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and public law. The Head of Legal will also be involved in the development and implementation of standard form documents, and will be responsible for the hiring and performance management of direct reports. Applicants must have 8-10 years' post-qualification experience, with a preference for those with previous in-house experience in an international organization. The role demands a self-starter with the ability to work independently, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to manage a global organizational structure. The ideal candidate will be a team player, adept at building relationships, and capable of maintaining performance under pressure. A law degree, qualification to practice in a common law jurisdiction, and proficiency in English are essential, with additional language skills being an advantage. Experience in data privacy/security matters, and regulatory and public law, as well as a background in supply chain and medical/pharmaceutical licensing/procurement, are also desirable.
