- Our ECC residency offers a unique blend of private practice experience with an academic environment . You'll receive over 70% of your training directly under the supervision of board-certified criticalists, with 24/7 access to phone consultations. Twice-daily cage-side rounds, weekly didactic sessions, and a resident-led journal club provide a robust educational structure.
- Additionally, there are dedicated "ventilator weeks" for studying, research, or focused care on critical patients. Residents are expected to actively contribute to clinical research and must submit a first-authored paper to meet ACVECC requirements.
- Emergency surgery training is another key component of our program. Under the guidance of 6 ACVS Diplomates, residents will develop competency in emergency surgical procedures, with opportunities for additional surgical training based on interest.
