This position supports students with diverse needs and provides flexible scheduling from Monday through Friday. The role is ideal for educators seeking varied daily assignments within a supportive school environment. Responsibilities include: Delivering specialized instruction to students with disabilities across K-12 grade levels Adapting lessons to meet individual student needs and promoting inclusive learning Collaborating with general education staff, therapists, and administrators to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Monitoring and documenting student progress and behavior for reporting purposes Maintaining a safe, positive, and engaging classroom atmosphere Qualifications and desired experience: Valid New York State teaching license in special education (a PDF copy must be submitted with the application) Experience working with students in K-12 special education settings Ability to manage a flexible, on-call schedule with variable hours Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills Patience, creativity, and commitment to fostering student growth Location: Rochester, NY (Monroe County) within a school district setting Schedule: Per diem; assignments may vary and are not guaranteed daily Benefits include a chance to positively impact students academic and social development while gaining diverse professional experience in a flexible role.
