Nesco Resource has partnered with a prestigious law firm in Nassau County in their pursuit to hire a Paralegal for their Trusts and Estates practice area. This is a hybrid position working 2 days/week remote and 3 days/week in their Uniondale, NY office. This role works closely with attorneys, clients and accountants, providing support in all aspects of estate planning and administration. What You'll Do: Maintain case organization by creating and managing files, monitoring calendars, tracking deadlines, documenting case activity, and updating information in databases and case management systems; regularly confirm case status with attorneys. Accurately capture and record billable time in compliance with firm policies and procedures. Assist with and attend Will signings to support attorneys and clients. Consistently demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism in client and team interactions. Foster a collaborative work environment by cooperating effectively with attorneys, legal staff, and administrators. What We're Looking For: 3+ years of Trusts & Estates law firm experience; seeking heavy estate administration experience Knowledge of wills, trusts, power of attorney forms, estate funding and general management of files Knowledge of Surrogate court rules and procedures (probate, administration, accounting proceedings) is required Experience in preparing estate tax returns is a plus Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel (NetDocs a plus) Paralegal certification from an ABA approved program is preferred Schedule: Hybrid role, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm , with occasional overtime as needed We're looking for a detail-oriented, client-focused team player who takes initiative and takes pride in their work.
