Pittsburgh, PA Industry: CPA Firm Schedule: Part-Time (approximately 3 days per week, flexible as needs arise) Our client, a well-established CPA firm, is seeking a part-time Accountant/Bookkeeper to support their growing practice. This role is ideal for someone looking for flexibility, work-life balance, and the ability to contribute meaningfully in a professional environment without the demands of a full-time schedule. The firm values reliability, independence, and a collaborative mindset. OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE: Handle day-to-day bookkeeping for a variety of clients Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations Maintain general ledgers and prepare adjusting journal entries Support month-end and year-end close processes Prepare financial statements and reports as needed Assist with payroll-related entries and filings (if applicable) Communicate with clients to gather documentation and resolve questions Provide additional support during peak times or when unexpected needs arise (flexible extra hours when needed) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience; xrczosw CPA firm experience a plus Strong understanding of basic accounting principles Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) and Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the team Dependable, flexible, and comfortable adjusting weekly hours depending on workload
