Construction Foreman

Dirt Foreman 📍 St. Henry, OH 🕒 Full-Time 🏗 Industrial | Commercial | Institutional Construction A well-established, employee-owned general contractor is seeking an experienced Dirt Foreman to join their growing field operations team in St. Henry, Ohio . This is a hands-on leadership role for a foreman who enjoys being in the dirt, running equipment, and leading crews on complex sitework and earthwork scopes. The company has been operating for 70+ years , self-performs the majority of its work, and offers long-term career growth through an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) . The Role As Dirt Foreman, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day dirt operations on active jobsites, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. Key responsibilities include: Lead and manage daily dirt work operations on site Operate heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators, skid steers , and related machinery Supervise equipment operators and field crews Coordinate closely with the Project Manager and subcontractors Maintain production schedules and jobsite quality control Assist with training, mentoring, and development of crew members Ensure adherence to safety standards and company procedures Support industrial, commercial, and institutional projects What They’re Looking For Proven experience as a Dirt Foreman / Earthwork Foreman Hands-on leadership style with strong field presence Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and site plans Competence with hand tools and construction equipment Physically capable of lifting up to 100 lbs Strong communication and team coordination skills Valid driver’s license Flexibility to assist across multiple scopes as needed What’s On Offer Employee-Owned (ESOP) Company – ownership opportunity, not just a job Competitive wages within the local market Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) Paid holidays and vacation Long-term stability and career advancement with a growing contractor
