We’re looking for a Product-Minded Senior Backend Engineer with strong coding skills, a passion for creating user-centric experiences, and the ability to deploy and maintain systems at scale. This role requires you to design, develop, and maintain backend systems, APIs, and infrastructure to support generative AI products at scale. Own end-to-end development of user-facing features and experiences, leveraging cutting-edge AI research. You will collaborate closely with researchers, engineers, designers, and product managers to translate ideas into impactful products. Build and optimize tools and platforms that enhance engineering productivity and support scalability, reliability, and security. Key Qualifications: 5+ years of engineering experience in diverse technical environments, ideally delivering user-facing products within product-driven organizations. Experience in the full end-to-end software lifecycle: planning, developing, productionizing, on-call, maintaining, and evolving. Deep understanding and expertise in distributed backend systems, APIs, database management, and security authentication/authorization mechanisms. Experience with user-facing APIs and end-to-end system design. Proficient in at least one of Golang, Node.js. Proficiency in Python/PyTorch to architect APIs wrapping AI models is a plus. Proficiency in JavaScript and React for front-end development is a plus, with a willingness to work across the stack as needed. Proven ability to operate effectively in startup environments as an early-stage engineer or founder, demonstrating adaptability and ownership. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality, impactful solutions.
