Mechanical Test Technician

About the Role We are seeking a Mechanical Product Test Technician to support hands-on testing of plumbing and water-handling products, including pipes, faucets, toilets, bath accessories, and filtration systems. This role focuses on mechanical performance, pressure, flow, durability, and corrosion testing and is not a chemical or pharmaceutical lab position. Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical and performance testing on plumbing and water-flow products Set up and operate test equipment for pressure, flow, endurance, and corrosion testing Use mechanical measurement tools including pressure gauges, flow meters, load cells, and pressure transducers Complete up to 150 work requests annually with clear, written test reports Record, analyze, and report test data to support engineering and product development teams Maintain test equipment, fixtures, and mechanical test setups Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field 2+ years of experience in mechanical product testing, manufacturing, or engineering lab environments Hands-on experience with mechanical systems and test equipment Ability to read and follow test procedures and mechanical documentation Computer literacy required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and some Access Preferred Experience Testing of plumbing products, valves, piping systems, or fluid-handling components Manufacturing or product development lab experience Note This role focuses on mechanical product testing and is not a chemical, pharmaceutical, environmental, or analytical lab position.
