Position Summary:
We are looking for a knowledgeable Superintendent with strong DSA project experience to lead construction operations for K–12, higher education, and public works projects throughout the Bay Area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing field teams, inspectors, and subcontractors while ensuring full compliance with Division of the State Architect (DSA) requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily field operations on DSA-regulated education and public works projects
Coordinate subcontractors, field staff, and inspectors to ensure compliance with DSA standards
Maintain project schedule, safety compliance, and quality control across all construction activities
Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and Inspectors of Record (IOR)
Conduct site coordination meetings, document progress, and manage punch lists
Oversee inspections, testing, and certification processes required by DSA authorities
Ensure project delivery aligns with design intent, schedule, and client expectations
Qualifications:
~5–10+ years of superintendent experience with at least 4 years on DSA-regulated projects
~ Proven success managing K–12 or higher education construction projects
~ In-depth understanding of DSA documentation, inspection, and compliance procedures
~ Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling tools (MS Project or Primavera)
~ OSHA 30 certification required; CPR/First Aid preferred
~ Strong leadership, organization, and communication abilities
