About the role Hook Hall is actively seeking Brand Ambassadors to join our crew. This role is comprised of a combination of skills, blending hospitality, bartending, service, and event production. This role is responsible for serving customers and representing Hook Hall and our affiliated events that cater to our unique brands. Our Brand Ambassadors embody an All Hands In approach and are ready to assist in various capacities throughout the venue. It is our goal to continually host world-class events, big and small, throughout the year. It is the role of the Brand Ambassador to provide an unparalleled guest journey through each event.   • Hospitality
    • Greeting guests as soon as they walk through the door
    • Providing guests with accurate wait time estimates during busy periods
    • Maintaining a neat, organized front-of-house environment
    • Showing guests to their designated area and explaining our policies & procedures
    • Managing rental counters and efficiently administering rentals for guests
    • Keeping guests happy and handling complaints appropriately
    • Building rapport with our guests and vendors
    • Brainstorming ideas to enhance the guest experience
    • Bartending and Service
      • Assisting with opening/closing tasks and side work
      • Maintaining safety and food & food and beverage quality standards
      • Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available.
      • Requests additional supplies as necessary and stocks the bar.
      • Prepares garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks.
      • Mixes, prepares and serves drinks to members and guests and mixes and prepares drinks ordered by food servers and beverage servers according to the recipes approved by the Bar Manager.
      • Ensures member accounts are properly billed through the Point of Sale System (POS)
      • Reports complaints to a manager as soon as they occur.
      • Maintains and cleans bar area and equipment.
      • Maintains records of liquors, beers, wine, tobacco and sundries to ensure bar stock is maintained at all times.
      • Attends staff meetings including pre-shift sessions as required.
      • Carefully follows all laws and Hook Hall policies and procedures regarding alcoholic beverage service and informs manager if continued service to a member or guest is in question.
      • Serves drinks to members and guests seated at lounge tables in the absence of a beverage server.
      • Continually practices beverage and revenue control procedures.
      • Event Production
        • Maintaining a positive image of the Hook Hall brand at all times
        • Collaborating with our partners when they promote their products in our units
        • Sharing event details provided by the marketing and operations teams to ensure our brands are advertised effectively and efficiently
        • Putting on a remarkable show, producing Hook Hall branded events.

  • Ability to operate point-of-sales systems

  • Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds for short periods of time
