The Director, Compensation drives the development, implementation, and maintenance of Verisign's compensation function. This position plans, develops and implements compensation programs, policies, procedures, in order to be responsive to the company's goals and competitive practices. Designs, develops, socializes and manages Verisign’s compensation policies, procedures, and programs, including job analysis, job evaluation and pricing, incentive and recognition programs.
Manages the consolidation of workforce reporting and analytics along with the design and maintenance of HR Dashboards to highlight trends and enable workforce decisions in concert of HRIS.
Monitors legislation that may affect compensation policies and researches trends in executive compensation.
Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revision as well as new plans and processes which are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and Verisign’s objectives.
Manages the preparation of job descriptions, conducting job evaluation and salary surveys, establishing salary structures, and developing salary budgets.
Manages activities of the Compensation department and provides supervision, development opportunities and direction to analysts.
This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work schedule.
Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.

~ Knowledge of and experience with compensation theories, practices, salary surveys, market pricing, job evaluation and incentive plans Proficient in MS Office with a strong understanding of PowerPoint and Excel including formulas, charts, graphs, pivot tables and other advanced capabilities
~ Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with top management
~ 4-year Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required; Graduate degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field is preferred
