Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms of mood disorders in clients.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that align with each client’s unique needs, goals, and preferences.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address client issues.
  • Offer psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, exploring treatment options and promoting effective self-care strategies.
  • Regularly monitor clients' progress and revise treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care that meets the comprehensive needs of clients.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to refine therapeutic strategies.
  • Maintain client confidentiality by managing accurate documentation that adheres to all legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in case consultations and team meetings to enhance therapeutic effectiveness and share best practices.
  • Advocate for clients’ needs and for mental health awareness to reduce stigma within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LMFT at Capstone Mind Wellness & Therapy, you will primarily work with individuals affected by mood disorders, including those facing challenges such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will also provide support to vulnerable populations, including homeless individuals, refugees, and domestic abuse victims, empowering them to navigate their unique situations and access necessary resources.

Qualifications

  • A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is essential.
  • A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain trustworthy therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Exhibit empathy, understanding, and a non-judgmental stance towards clients' experiences and struggles.
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities to navigate administrative duties alongside client care.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with diverse populations facing mood disorders and emotional disturbances.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques and modalities, including CBT and DBT.
  • Prior experience in community mental health settings is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000, contingent upon qualifications, experience, and expertise.
