Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine Join a dynamic team dedicated to serving our nation s Veterans in Houston, TX This practice provides General Medicine services, focusing on Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. We offer flexible options for coverage, either at a facility or in your own office, ensuring that our providers have the tools and environment needed to deliver exceptional care. Job Responsibilities: Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments. Perform primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. Submit comprehensive reports and any required addendums after exams. Adapt to PRN scheduling, with flexibility to work half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours). Maintain efficient communication and documentation as per practice protocols. Qualifications: Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular health. Ownership of a laptop (no Mac/Apple products). Current AANP certification. Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New York. Willingness to complete DMA training for certification. Previous experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine preferred. License and Certification Requirements: Active Nurse Practitioner license in New York.
