The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Discipline organization is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE). The SPY-6 Family of Radars and the GhostEye family of radars are seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to help in the execution of integration and analysis activities. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for helping to identify issues, generate solutions, and verify the solutions are implemented as designed. This role will require communication skills to convey solutions and results to teammates and leadership. This position can be located onsite in either Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA and may require occasional travel. What You will Do: You will develop concepts of operations for radar systems You will be responsible for radar processing algorithm development You will be responsible for radar software requirements development You will be responsible for statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data You will be responsible for analysis tool development in support of problem identification and resolution You will work with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions You will present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience. An active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer: Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architectures Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments Design experience in the following radar system areas; antenna, receiver/exciter, waveforms, digital beamforming, multi-sensor track management and data fusion, adaptive signal processing, clutter mitigation techniques, electronic attack and electronic protect, sensor resource management and mission planning Development experience, including use of DOORS Experience with MATLAB/Python/C++ Experience with technical writing and oral presentations Systems Engineering experience on DoD systems What We Offer Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
