What You’ll Do As a Structural Welder at Ben’s Structural Fabrication, you will be responsible for: Reviewing and interpreting shop drawings to determine weld requirements Performing surface preparation prior to and after welding (sanding, grinding, wire brushing, degreasing, etc.) Setting up and operating welding equipment Performing GMAW-pulse (MIG) welding in flat and horizontal positions on mild steel components Fitting steel parts and tacking/welding components onto beams, columns, trusses, and other structural elements Using an overhead crane safely and frequently Lifting 50–100 pounds regularly Working collaboratively in a fast-paced shop environment Schedule No weekends Monday–Thursday, 6:00am–4:15pm Occasional overtime available on Fridays, 6:00am–3:00pm All work is performed in our Waite Park shop—no jobsite welding required. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and role requirements.
