We are seeking an experienced Surgery - Trauma Physician Assistant for a 36-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity starts Jan 5, 2026, and requires availability for 5 to 10 shifts per month, with coverage for both day and night 12-hour shifts. The role focuses on trauma care, requiring advanced procedural skills and proficiency with Cerner EMR.
Provider Type Needed: Surgery - Trauma Physician Assistant
- Schedule: 5-10 shifts per month; 14 (12 hour) shifts monthly; Manage acute surgical and trauma cases in collaboration with the surgical team
- Provide comprehensive patient care in accordance with ATLS protocols
- Accurately document clinical findings and care in Cerner EMR
- Active NC license and board certification in Surgery required
- No new graduates; Travel-related expenses covered
- A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided
