Details & requirements for this opportunity: Specialty: Neonatology Requirement: Nurse Practitioner Location: Utah Coverage: 01/01/2026 - 12/31/2026 Job Setting: Inpatient License: An active Utah state license is required EMR: Epic Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Other Details: An advanced practice clinician is needed to provide inpatient care in 12-hour shifts, primarily during the day (7:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m.) with some night (7:00 p.m. 7:00 a.m.) and occasional 24-hour shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The ideal schedule is full-time, averaging 24 shifts per month (three 12-hour shifts per week). The provider will manage an average of 5 7 patients per shift during the day and at night. Responsibilities include obtaining and documenting patient histories and discharge exams, writing orders for diagnostic studies, therapies, and consultations within scope of practice, and prescribing or administering both controlled and non-controlled substances. Core privileges include admitting and discharging patients under a supervising physician, managing inpatient and outpatient cases, and performing a range of procedures such as sedation for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, conventional and mechanical ventilator therapy, ECMO therapy, abdominal paracentesis, pericardiocentesis, endotracheal intubation, exchange transfusion, high-frequency ventilator therapy, intraosseous needle placement, lumbar puncture, needle thoracentesis, percutaneous peripheral artery catheter placement, peripheral artery puncture, reduction transfusion, aspiration and incision and drainage of simple abscesses, transfusion therapy, tube thoracostomy, umbilical vessel catheterization, and ventricular reservoir taps.
