Location: United States

We are seeking a qualified and student-focused High School Counselor to support students in Grades 9–12 with academic planning, personal development, and post-secondary readiness. This role is central to helping students navigate high school successfully while preparing for college, career, and life beyond graduation.

The ideal candidate is a thoughtful professional who can provide structured guidance, clear direction, and consistent support while collaborating closely with students, families, and school leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Provide academic, personal, and developmental counseling to high school students (Grades 9–12)
Guide students in course selection, credit tracking, graduation requirements, and academic goal-setting
Support students and families through college admissions, financial aid awareness, and post-secondary planning
Assist students with career exploration, pathway planning, and readiness for college or workforce transitions
Conduct individual counseling sessions and small group workshops focused on student well-being and decision-making
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address academic or behavioral concerns
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate counseling records in compliance with school and state policies

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a related field
Valid School Counselor certification/licensure in the United States (state-specific)
Experience working with high school students
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of high school academic pathways, college admissions processes, and career planning frameworks
