Urbano Design & Build is looking for an Interior Designer/Project Coordinator with 5+ years experience in luxury residential projects. We are looking for someone who has prior experience working in an interior design studio and is familiar with high-end, custom design processes. The ideal candidate should possess a positive attitude, with a strong can-do mentality and be able to manage multiple tasks at one time and be highly organized.
Manage projects from schematic design through installation,
Collaborate on developing the design concept for a project,
Prepare client presentations with principal’s design sketches, self-generated presentation materials including 2D and 3D drawings if needed,
Design, source and present design ideas using tools including interior design finishes, fixtures, hardware, and lighting from vintage to custom items, in collaboration with the principal and other team members,
Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, millworkers, and subcontractors throughout the entire project to ensure accurate fabrication and timely installation for the project,
Manage FF&E & sourcing to target budgets and timetable on a daily basis,
Manage internal and external deadlines,
Organize and oversee installation of the projects,
Bachelor's degree from an accredited architectural or interior design program (min 4+ years’ experience),
Overall knowledge and understanding of the basic flow of a project from conception through completion,
Proficient in AutoCAD is a must,
Sketch-up or similar rendering software is a plus but not necessary,
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign),
Knowledge of physical and online showrooms and resources,
Interior architectural experience in all phases of the design process,
A successful candidate will understand the design process thorough programming, interior architecture, architectural specification, documentation, fixture and equipment (FF&E) specifications.
