The Customer Service Representative serves as the primary point of contact for taxpayers on behalf of the State of New Jersey. In this role, you will provide accurate, courteous assistance related to Property Tax Relief programs as well as other call types assigned by the Division. Representatives must stay current on all division policies and procedures to ensure they can deliver clear, complete, and compliant information. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, exceptional customer service, and the ability to support constituents with professionalism and accuracy.
3-month temporary position (Possible extension up to 6 months)

~ No prior tax experience needed (3-week training program included)
Provide accurate, professional support to taxpayers calling the New Jersey Property Tax Relief Hotline.
Review, analyze, and update taxpayer accounts, ensuring applications and information are complete and correctly filed.
Process filings, account adjustments, and address updates on behalf of taxpayers when appropriate.
Send requested forms and ensure all customer service standards are consistently met.
A High School Diploma or equivalent
~6 months of prior customer service experience
