Location:Homer, AKStart Date:As soon as credentialed, no later than February 20, 2025 OngoingSchedule:20 days of inpatient hospitalist coverage per month, split between two providersRotating: 5 days on, 15 days offPatient Volume:Average daily census: 1012Scope of Practice:Inpatient Hospitalist Duties: Rounding and admissionsProcedures and Codes: oLead or participate in daytime codesoED handles overnight emergencies but may contact for closed-loop communication or follow-upsPediatrics:Credentialing required for inpatient pediatricsIncludes care for well and sick babiesEMR System: Evident Support Staff & Resources:3 employed hospitalists in the group24-hour ED coverageOB/GYN and Certified Nurse Midwives available for newborn care (NRP and well-baby care)24-hour respiratory therapyOnsite radiology (business hours) with interventional radiology support24-hour general and orthopedic surgery coverageRequirements:Active Alaska medical licenseBoard Certification preferredOpen to: oInternal Medicine (Hospitalist)oFamily Medicine (Hospitalist)oInternal Medicine-Pediatrics
