As a Pipelayer, your primary role will involve laying, assembling, installing, and repairing water, sewer and storm drainage underground pipes and fittings, as well as preparing trenches for the pipe.

Salary Range: $18 - $25 per hour
Medical

* Retirement

Experience in pipe installation work with large-diameter water, sewer and storm drain systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and project specifications.

* Willingness to do job-specific certifications if needed, which could be: Rigging and Signaling Certification, Confined Space Training Certification, OSHA 10-Hour Safety Training.

* Driver's license and dependable transportation to and from job sites.
* Assembling, installing, and repairing water, sewer and storm drainage underground pipes and fittings.

* Laying and securing metallic and PVC pipes, including ductile iron, steel and concrete pipe.

* Preparing trenches by directing excavation, grading and leveling to allow proper pipe placement.

* Assisting equipment operators in guiding and setting pipes.

* Mounting and running pipe lasers and transits to determine proper installation.
* Leak testing of pipes and measuring, cutting and installing pipes to specifications.
