Why Join Our Team: Private Practice Model: Employed position with full autonomy in a physician-led setting Clinic & Surgical Balance: General ophthalmology with preference for cataract specialists; dedicated surgery day in-house Predictable Lifestyle Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM with nights and weekends free; flexible 4.5-day option available Established Referral Base: Robust community ties and favorable payor mix (60% Medicare / 40% Commercial) Compensation & Benefits: High-Earning Potential: Guaranteed salary $400K-$475K with 30% collections sharing for $600K+ potential Generous Transition Support: Signing bonus and relocation assistance provided Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, vision, malpractice with tail, CME allowance, PTO, and 401(k) retirement plan Additional Perks: Student loan assistance and fellowship stipend available Candidate Requirements: Board-certified or board-eligible in Ophthalmology Strong interest in cataract surgery; additional subspecialty skills welcome Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care About the Community: Richmond offers a unique blend of history, culture, and modern living.
