Manage month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheets, and conducting variance analyses.
• Prepare and review tenant billings, rent rolls, and related financial documents.
• Reconcile tenant accounts, addressing and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
• Generate and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Oversee the general ledger for multiple properties, maintaining up-to-date and accurate records.
• Assist in creating annual budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic planning.
• Collaborate with auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation for tax filings.
• Maintain and update accounting systems, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
• Support the property management team with financial insights and recommendations as needed.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in property or real estate accounting.
• Proficiency in property management accounting software, such as Yardi.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
