We’re hiring a Senior Developer – Databricks Engineer to join an innovative Information Systems team in Columbia, SC .
This hybrid role (3 days onsite per week) will focus on building and managing Databricks solutions at enterprise scale. You’ll play a critical role in shaping the data platform that powers advanced analytics, governance, and secure data sharing across the organization.
Lead the implementation and management of Databricks Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and medallion architectures.
Design and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for Databricks and AWS provisioning.
Enforce cluster policies, compute governance, and FinOps optimization.
Support ingestion patterns and data enablement for advanced analytics and machine learning.
Partner with business and technology teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing data environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
~8+ years in application development, systems testing, or similar.
~3+ years managing Databricks environments in production at enterprise scale.
~ Deep knowledge of Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, DLT, and SQL Warehouses.
~ Experience with Spark, Python, AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, Glue, CloudWatch).
~ Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CloudFormation, CDK, or similar).
~ Understanding of FinOps, tagging standards, and cloud cost optimization.
Hybrid role (3 days onsite per week in Columbia, SC)
