WHY YOU WANT THIS OPPORTUNITY This position plays a vital role in supporting the company’s safety initiatives and day-to-day field operations. Reporting to the Safety Director, the Safety Manager is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing safety programs at the project and operational level to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors. We are seeking a hands-on, proactive safety professional who thrives in the field and is committed to maintaining compliance and preventing incidents. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and confident working directly with project teams, superintendents, and others. Strong communication skills, a solid understanding of construction safety regulations, and the ability to deliver effective training are essential. The Safety Manager is instrumental in reinforcing the company’s safety culture and ensuring policies and procedures are consistently followed on-site. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Implement and enforce company safety programs, policies, and procedures across assigned projects. Conduct regular site safety inspections, identify hazards, and work with project teams to develop corrective actions. Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training to employees and subcontractors. Assist with incident investigations, near-miss reporting, and corrective action follow-up. Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, corporate, and client safety requirements. Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, logs, and records. Support emergency response planning and participate in drills and incident response as needed. Collaborate with project management and field leadership to promote a strong safety culture. Monitor subcontractor safety performance and compliance with site-specific safety plans. Track safety data, identify trends, and report findings to the Safety Director. Stay current on OSHA regulations and industry best practices. Florida projects with an emphasis on Miami-Dade County DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction safety or field safety management. OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510/500 is required Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in the field. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to identify hazards, assess risk, and implement corrective actions. Comfortable conducting training sessions and speaking to groups. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Capable of handling sensitive information and responding effectively in emergency situations.
