Position Summary:
  • The Occupational Therapist specializing in Rehabilitation Post Acute will work under the direct supervision of the Team Coordinator and/or Clinical Specialist, and leadership of the Rehab Therapy Services Inpatient Manager.
  • The individual will use objective evaluation techniques to assess the occupational limitations and medical condition of patients.
  • They will prescribe and implement a treatment program designed to return patients to their maximum level of function.
  • This role requires collaboration with all members of the multidisciplinary health care team to maximize patient and team outcomes.
  • The successful candidate will promote improvement in service, department, and hospital systems to benefit patient care.
  • Incorporating and operationalizing the goals and objectives of the organization is essential.
Education:
  • A Bachelor of Science, Master's Degree, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited academic program is required.
Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.:
  • Current State licensure as an Occupational Therapist is mandatory.
  • AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification is also required.
Work Experience:
  • One year of Occupational Therapist experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Acute Care is necessary.
  • Succesful completion of clinical internships as required by the academic program is a must.
