Salary: $30 - $32 per hour
We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel. This role will be responsible for providing accurate, timely financial information to the company's management team while ensuring that all accounting processes and procedures are adhered to. The Consulting Staff Accountant will also be tasked with managing accounts payable aging and account reconciliation, as well as balance sheet reconciliation. Immediate Contract-To-Hire Opportunity at Global, Publicly Traded Oil & Gas Company
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Manage accounts payable aging process, ensuring all payments are made on time and accurately recorded.
Conduct account reconciliation regularly to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Perform balance sheet reconciliation to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial information.
Develop and implement accounting procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary data for financial reporting.
Assist in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
Provide support during internal and external audits.
Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
At least 2+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and accounts payable aging.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and other advanced functions.
Knowledge of accounting software and databases.
CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
