Responsibilities: Perform quality control and maintenance on nuclear medicine equipment and devices to ensure accuracy and safety. Collaborate with physicians to determine and conduct appropriate nuclear medicine procedures. Maintain detailed documentation of laboratory operations including radioactive material handling and patient records. Exercise sound judgment in executing scheduled exams and procedures in compliance with established guidelines. Identify and recommend workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction. Provide clinical instruction to radiology students and residents, supporting educational efforts. Stay current on developments in the nuclear medicine field through continuous education and professional participation. Foster positive working relationships with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care. Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards, developing effective internal controls as necessary. Qualifications: Valid licensure in Nuclear Medicine from the Texas Department of Health. Proficiency in nuclear medicine imaging techniques and equipment quality control. Strong understanding of regulatory and accreditation requirements related to nuclear medicine. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
