Network Security Engineer Our client, a leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join on a direct-hire basis in Cary, NC. This hybrid position requires on-site work three days per week (Tuesday – Thursday) and offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in cloud security posture management. Qualified applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis Salary: $115,000 – $135,000 plus 10% bonus Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade firewall solutions, including next-gen firewalls, to enforce network security policies. • Deploy security tools in cloud environments, such as CASB, WAFs, and native cloud security services. • Deploy SASE solutions integrating security capabilities for distributed networks. • Implement centralized identity and access management systems following least privilege principles. • Utilize Microsoft Security Suite tools for threat detection and response across environments. Requirements: • 5+ years of experience in network security engineering, with in-depth experience with Palo Alto • Hands-on experience with Zscaler • Cloud-first mindset—on-prem-only experience is a disqualifier. • Passion for Security and willingness to make suggestions and recommendations • Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. Preferred Skills: • Azure Network and cloud security posture management experience. Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range. W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
