About the Role A-MED Ambulance is hiring a Communications Center Dispatcher to support ambulance and wheelchair van operations in New Orleans. Dispatchers are the first point of contact for patients, facilities, and crews. You will answer calls, document trip details, and coordinate unit responses. The role requires excellent customer service, multitasking, and clear communication. Qualifications • Strong customer service and communication skills with clear, calm, and professional delivery • Ability to multitask and stay composed in high-pressure situations • Accurate documentation and attention to detail • Basic computer skills; prior dispatch or CAD experience preferred • High school diploma or equivalent required; EMS or call center experience is a plus • Valid driver's license and ability to meet insurance requirements • Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays Physical and Mental Requirements • Ability to sit for long periods and use phones, headsets, and computer systems • Clear speech and hearing for phone and radio communication • Strong judgment and decision-making skills under pressure PI3843ae5-
