Job Description Job Description Job Summary Wendo Home Health Agency is seeking compassionate and dependable Home Health Aides to provide high-quality personal care and supportive services to clients in their homes. Home Health Aides work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and follow individualized plans of care to promote client safety, dignity, and independence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) , including: Bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene Toileting and continence care Ambulation, transfers, and positioning Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration according to the plan of care Provide companionship and emotional support Perform light housekeeping related to client care (laundry, dishes, tidying client areas) Observe, report, and document changes in client condition to the supervising nurse Measure and record vital signs when assigned Follow all infection control, safety, and emergency procedures Complete accurate and timely documentation per Wendo Home Health Agency policies Maintain client confidentiality and respect client rights at all times Medication Notice: Home Health Aides at Wendo Home Health Agency do not administer medications unless properly certified and authorized under Missouri regulations. Qualifications At least 18 years of age High school diploma or GED preferred Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program Meets the minimum 75 training hours with competency evaluation Current CPR/First Aid certification Ability to pass: Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) check Criminal background check Health screening and TB test Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if required for client visits) Skills and Attributes Compassionate, respectful, and client-focused Dependable and professional Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow care plans and agency policies Physically able to assist clients safely with daily tasks Supervision Home Health Aides are supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN) in accordance with Missouri DHSS, Medicaid, and Medicare guidelines.
