**Job Description**

Danfoss in Eden Prairie, MN is searching for a Solutions Engineering Intern to start in Summer 2025. The intern will support ongoing new system development programs applicable to agricultural and construction vehicles. This intern will also be involved in system design, analysis, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting. This is a great opportunity for students with a desire for real-world engineering experience in a fast-paced global company and a high performing team environment. The candidate must be a strong communicator, self-starter, team player, and business professional.

**Job Responsibilities**

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

+ General support of ongoing research programs with both hands-on and theoretical engineering work

+ Design, assemble, test and troubleshoot prototype multi-domain systems (hydraulic, mechanical, controls)

+ Document results and draw conclusions to support lead engineers

+ Perform both desk type analysis and hands on engineering work

+ Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering.

+ Availability to work full-time in the Summer and potentially continue on during the semester full-time or part-time.

+ Demonstrated hands-on mechanical, electrical and/or software aptitude

+ Prior experience with the operation of farming, construction equipment, or automobiles is a plus

+ Experience with hydraulic systems and components

+ Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams including mechanical, software, electronics, and vehicle systems

+ Project management experience

+ Familiarity with DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) tools

+ Excellent problem-solving skills

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Candidates must be located within 50 miles of the work location.
