The Civil Designer performs general civil engineering work, carrying out design calculations, developing technical details, conducting site observation visits, and preparing designs documents and engineering reports on a broad range of projects. Responsibilities: * Prepare civil designs and specifications for small to large scale projects. * Perform calculations as well as operate various software related to the design, as directed by the Project Manager. * Setup drawing files and architectural backgrounds to company standards. * Review the work of drafters and other designers as it relates to a specific project. * Reviews regulations and standards necessary to carry out project design and permitting work. * Analyze reports, maps, drawings, tests, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects. * Incorporates schedules, budgets and project criteria into Civil design and layouts. * Assists design team in preparation of reports, plans, and other submittals. * Obtain project information from other disciplines and incorporate into projects. * Demonstrate the ability to take projects from inception to completion. * Conduct site visits and investigations, analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations. * Performs other position-related duties and assignments as directed. xrczosw Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering minimum 1 year of experience OR Associates Degree in Engineering Technology with 3+ years of relevant experience.
