Technical Solution Architect

The Technical Solution Architect is a strategic leader responsible for designing, integrating, and optimizing enterprise‑wide technology solutions that support the organization’s business objectives. This role ensures alignment between technical systems and business goals by driving architectural standards across on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. The architect will serve as the bridge between infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application development teams, focusing on solution scalability, performance, and compliance with modern security frameworks. This position will be on‑site in our Oakdale, NY office. The schedule would be Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:00pm. Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into secure, scalable technical solutions. Design end‑to‑end architecture for IT systems, covering infrastructure, applications, data, and security layers. Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and tools to support modernization and strategic initiatives. Create and maintain architectural diagrams, documentation, and technology roadmaps. Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity policies, and applicable regulatory requirements. Lead and guide technical teams during design and implementation phases, providing architectural oversight throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct impact analysis, risk assessments, and cost‑benefit evaluations for proposed solutions. Promote innovation by identifying opportunities for automation, integration, and optimization across systems. Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and development teams to ensure solutions align with performance, scalability, and resilience standards. Stay current with emerging technologies, architecture frameworks, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required; Master’s preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience as an enterprise solution architect; 7 years preferred. Strong background in infrastructure, networking, cloud, and cybersecurity. Proficiency with VMware, Windows Server, and Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky). Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba or ProCurve networking, and enterprise Wi‑Fi. Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Exchange Online. Skilled in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Knowledge of enterprise security tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, DLP, and IAM. Familiarity with TOGAF, Zachman, or other architecture frameworks. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and present complex concepts clearly.
