Production Manager

The Production Manager leads day-to-day operations on the manufacturing floor, ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational objectives. This role oversees Supervisors and production teams across multiple shifts to achieve quality, cost, and delivery goals. The Production Manager drives operational excellence by championing safety, maintaining product quality, optimizing workflows, and developing high-performing teams. Duties and Responsibilities Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Ensure all production activities meet established quality standards and customer requirements. Lead, mentor, and develop Shift Supervisors and production staff to build high-performing teams. Partner with Scheduling and Planning teams to ensure efficient production scheduling that meets demand. Coordinate with Maintenance to support preventive and corrective maintenance activities with minimal production disruption. Monitor daily production performance, addressing issues and removing barriers to ensure targets are met. Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and efficiency. Collect, analyze, and report production data, KPIs, and other metrics to Plant and Operations leadership. Foster open, professional communication across all levels of the organization. Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Manager or Operations Director. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering, operations, or a related technical field. 10+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in fabrication. Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes. Background in Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies. Proficient in MS Office suite. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.
