Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Tax Partner to join their Ocean, NJ office.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead advisor to privately held businesses, pass-through entities, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Deliver sophisticated tax planning strategies that minimize tax liabilities and support clients' business and financial objectives.
  • Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns while ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Build, develop, and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted business advisor.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client relationships and actively participate in business development efforts.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop Tax Managers, Seniors, and Staff, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
  • Collaborate with audit, advisory, and consulting professionals to provide integrated client solutions.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate planning opportunities to clients and internal teams.
  • Participate in firm leadership initiatives, strategic planning, and practice development.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience, including significant leadership responsibilities
  • Demonstrated experience serving middle-market, privately held businesses and their owners
  • Strong background in partnership, S corporation, C corporation, and individual taxation
  • Proven success developing new business and expanding client relationships
  • Familiarity with multi-state taxation is preferred
  • Experience advising clients across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, professional services, construction, real estate, healthcare, or closely held businesses
  • Strong consultative approach with the ability to identify planning opportunities beyond compliance
  • CPA required
