Overview America's Test Kitchen (ATK) seeks a VP, Engineering to lead our software development organization and drive the next phase of our digital platform strategy. The role focuses on cultivating technical excellence, organizational maturity, and high-impact delivery across website, app, digital subscription, and MarTech platforms. Core Leadership Responsibilities Mentor and Coach Leaders Provide direct coaching and professional development to engineering leaders. Scale the Organization Strategically plan for growth and structure of the 2025 person engineering team. Drive Engineering Excellence Instill best practices for software development, quality, scalability, and performance. Cultivate Culture Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture. Technical Strategy and Execution Executive Technical Leadership Define and articulate the longterm technical vision and roadmap for ATKs core digital platforms. Strategic Alignment Partner closely with Marketing, Product, Design, and Content leaders to translate business objectives into technical strategies. Delivery Oversight Ensure effective, predictable, and highquality delivery of major engineering initiatives. Technical Governance Oversee architecture, security, and integration of new tools and features. Strategic Leadership & Coaching Proven Leadership 5+ years in a senior engineering leadership role managing 20+ engineers, including other managers. Coaching Expertise Demonstrated track record of mentoring coaching engineering management talent. Organizational Design Experience structuring and scaling a software team for efficiency and sustainability. Domain Expertise & Technical Acumen MarTech/Subscription Deep, handson understanding of modern MarTech landscape. Execution Management Exceptional program and project management skills for large crossfunctional initiatives. Communication & Influence Superior ability to communicate complex technical strategies to executive leadership. Cloud Infrastructure Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and operations. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience. 10+ years of progressive experience in software development. Experience in customerfacing websites and apps in a product technology environment. Location Boston, MA headquarters or remote applicants.
