Job Title: Drafter
As a Drafter, you will assist in the planning and preparation of detailed drawings by applying standardized drawing techniques. You will be responsible for collecting initial drawings, calculations, and design ideas from engineers and combining the relevant data into coherent and complete initial design models for review and modification.
Apply company, client, and project drafting standards and procedures to draft control schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment connection diagrams.
Coordinate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and verify design details according to company standards and best practices.
Provide a range of drawing production work including problem analysis, layout, detailing, and drafting on projects of substantial variety and complexity.
Engage in drafting activities with designers and drafters in other disciplines.
Execute design changes and project drawing revisions.
Maintain CAD proficiency and work toward mastering current CAD systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Strong design and drafting abilities
CAD proficiency
Ability to work with design software such as Revit, Solidworks, Civil 3D, and structural design tools
Associate of Science in Drafting
* Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology
The work environment involves using advanced design software and tools, including AutoCAD, Microstation, Revit, Solidworks, and Civil 3D. You will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other design professionals to ensure accuracy and compliance with drafting standards. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, Missouri.
