Senior Software Engineer (Backend) / Member of Technical Staff Salary Range: $180k - $250k , dependent on experience + generous equity. We are actively recruiting a Senior Backend Engineer for our client, a high-traction B2B SaaS company that recently secured its Series A funding. This role is critical to scaling the company's core platform as they onboard major enterprise clients and compete for an RFP with a public company. We are looking for a highly confident, knowledgeable, and pragmatic engineer with a "can-do" attitude. 💻 Key Responsibilities and Impact The primary focus of this role is to build and scale the platform for enterprise clients. This person will own crucial components needed to handle a projected 10x system scale within the next three to six months. Focus Areas: HR System Integration and Data Modelling: Owning integrations with various HR systems (e.g., Workday, Bamboo HR) and ATS platforms. You will be responsible for building a robust data model to create a "system of record" for tracking the entire immigration history (from student to H1B renewal to Green Card) of foreign nationals within client companies. Scalability: Addressing significant scalability challenges across the entire system—from database services to APIs—to support thousands of new employees and hundreds of foreign nationals from new enterprise customers. Enterprise Functionality & Features: Developing new features, including essential enterprise requirements like implementing support for Enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO) . 🛠️ Technical Stack and Requirements Core Backend Stack: Python FastAPI and Postgres for the database. Expertise in Python is preferred. Experience Profile: Ideal candidates have a strong background working with enterprise or B2B SaaS products . Experience with business intelligence or HR software is a plus. Testing & Quality: You must be comfortable with testing and have experience setting up or improving integration tests through APIs, as this is currently a focus area for the team. DevOps Comfort: Must be comfortable and willing to take on different hats, including basic DevOps tasks, as the team does not have a dedicated DevOps engineer.
