Service Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

  • Service Coordination: Manage and coordinate all service calls to ensure timely response and resolution.
  • Service Repair Orders (SROs): Open, post, and close all SROs efficiently.
  • Technician Utilization: Ensure service technicians maintain 80%–85% billable hours.
  • Warranty Claims: Submit and follow up on warranty claims to ensure proper reimbursement from manufacturers.
  • Shipping & Receiving: Handle all shipping and receiving tasks within the service department.
  • Customer Interaction: Answer all incoming service calls promptly, minimizing the need for mechanic consultations.
  • Customer Outreach: Re-engage old customers through cold calling and review past service files for potential opportunities.
  • Expense Management: Assist in minimizing shop expenses through efficient resource allocation.
  • Technician Logs: Maintain records of billable and non-billable hours to analyze efficiency and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Prior assembly experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow directions with basic reading skills.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer navigation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Attention to detail, effective time management, and self-motivation.
